Personal injury lawsuit against Smith & Wesson dismissed

Judge Todd Campbell issued a decision on Friday, September 16, regarding a personal injury case in a Nashville, Tennessee. Judge Campbell ruled that Smith & Wesson, a firearms manufacturer, was not liable for an accidental discharge that occurred earlier this year.

According to the lawsuit, Randy McNeal was accidentally shot in the finger by a Bodyguard .380 pistol inside a gun store in Murfreesboro as he was trying to put the safeties on the pistol. He alleged that a loose screw on the built-in laser sight of the gun prevented the slide from locking in position. The accident resulted in him losing a finger.

If you or a loved one have been injured due to poor manufacturing, you may be entitled to compensation. Contact one of our attorneys at John Michael Bailey Injury Lawyers by calling 888-WE-FIGHT today.
