Bexco Enterprises, Inc., announced on July 15, that nearly 12,000 of their DaVinci Cribs are officially being recalled after incidents in which a metal bracket connecting the mattress support to the crib broke, according to PR Newswire. This child product malfunction leads to an uneven sleeping surface, or a gap in which the baby can become entrapped or fall through. Additionally, the broken metal can cause lacerations.
The California based company has asked consumers to stop use of the crib immediately and contact Bexco through a toll-free hotline at (888) 673-6652, or by visiting www.davincibaby.com and clicking the “Safety Recall” link.
