Driver charged with vehicular homicide after Memphis accident
Twenty-eight-year-old Kenneth Benson was charged on Wednesday, December 2 with vehicular homicide for a car accident he caused along Southern and McLean in Memphis, Tennessee on Oct. 29, 2015 which killed his passenger, 21-year-old Dedarius Benson.
According to preliminary investigations and an arrest affidavit, Benson had been driving a 1998 Nissan Maxima when it veered onto oncoming traffic and hit a 2013 Honda Accord.
Benson is also facing charges of two counts of aggravated assault, driving on a suspended license, and not having car insurance. He appeared in court for a video arraignment on Thursday, December 4.
