Zatarain’s recalls products overs dairy issue
Zatarain’s is recalling boxes of their Red Beans and Rice Original meals after receiving reports that there may have been a production mistake that lead to these boxes containing undeclared dairy products. The eight ounce boxes marked as Red Beans and Rice, which does not contain dairy, may actually contain a mix for Creamy Parmesan Rice. If one of the millions of Americans with dairy sensitivity or allergies obtains a mislabeled box, he or she may suffer a reaction from the unmarked dairy.
The recall affects nineteen states and the company is urging customers to throw out packages or bring them to the store for a full refund. No illnesses have been reported relating to the mix-up yet.
